This year’s Anne Frank Tree Project annual celebration will be held at the school at 6:00 p. m. on May 20 and includes a catered dinner, a tour of the Anne Frank Tree Site and a speech by acclaimed author Linda Sue Park, writer of the school and community read, A Long Walk to Water.
The dinner will be catered by Kendra’s Culinary Creation’s and begins at 6:00 p.m. The cost of the meal is five dollars per person. The Project Board would prefer reservations for large parties be made; to make a reservation, please email email@example.com. A tour of the grounds and the Anne Frank tree site will follow dinner.
The presentation of the 2016 Difference Maker Awards will occur at 7:00 p. m. This year’s adult recipients are Paul and Jane Simkin, who are being recognized for their outstanding work within the local migrant community. Sydney Hasenjager’s work at the King Ferry Food Pantry and other local relief organizations has earned her this year’s student Difference Maker Award. Congratulations to both recipients.
