Playoffs: Grizzlies

The playoffs are right around the corner, and the Spurs are looking at their first series against the seventh seed Memphis Grizzlies.

San Antonio is undefeated this year against Memphis; most of these games the Grizz have had their entire team. As of right now, the Grizzlies are missing Marc Gasol, Mike Conley, Tony Allen and Mario Chalmers. Every one of these players suffered season-ending injuries, and every one is a key player to Memphis’ team. As the Grizzlies marched through the season, with their players dropping seemingly every other week, many fans all through Tennessee saw their season slowly slipping away.

While the Grizzlies were primed to play the three seed, Oklahoma City Thunder, they were once again dealt a terrible hand. The Memphis Grizzlies are matched up against the San Antonio Spurs. If you have been following my blog, you know by now that the Spurs are only second to the record-breaking Golden State Warriors. All the fans, the experts and Las Vegas have the Grizzlies getting swept. No more than four games, and every game is going to be a blowout. I am one of the many fans that believe that the experts are right.

The Spurs have everyone on their roster, LaMarcus Aldridge is playing his best of the season, Kawhi Leonard has been playing consistent all year long and the Spurs have an incredible record. It should not be any sort of competition. The Spurs should be cranking up the score early, then pulling starters to prevent injuries. Looking forward to the second round of playoffs.
