I constantly feel so lucky that I get to work with some of the most wonderful couples! Stephanie and Simon were such a fun loving couple that incorporated so many personal touches to their wedding day which really allowed their personalities to shine. It turns out that I went to high school in the bride’s hometown and went to the same law school with the groom! We bonded over good food and our love for DC, not to mention the fact that my husband seems to share some of their entertainment favorites (West Wing, Hamilton, etc.). It felt as if our lives could have crossed so many times and I hope they do in the future! 🙂
Stephanie and Simon got married in December on a very cold, but gorgeous day! I loved how they chose a darker color palette with burgundy as the primary tone with a lot of lush greenery (this was a choice they made before Pantone selected greenery as the 2017 color of the year!). Their ceremony was held at the Canyon Creek Church which had a beautiful stained glass window and Nicole from Orange Blossoms Florals added in some beautiful touches with garlands lining the aisle and a jaw dropping floral arch!
Stephanie and Simon’s reception was held at the The Bridges Golf Club in San Ramon. Before and after the ceremony, the couple and their wedding party courageously withstood the low temperatures to take photos on the breathtaking golf course. The reception was marked with good food, a decadent dessert table from Sift Dessert Bar, and a fun dance party which really got the crowd going!
It was very important to Stephanie and Simon that their guests were well taken care of as many of were coming from far to celebrate their special day with them. After getting to know Stephanie and Simon and seeing their generosity and consideration for others, it was not a surprise that so many of the family and friends were willing to brave winter storms and spend hours traveling to be there on their wedding day! I hope you enjoy these images captured by Meo Baaklini and feel the love of their wedding day in each detail and moment.
