Homemade Tahini Sauce:
1/2 cup Tahini
Juice of 1 lemon
1 tsp crushed garlic
1/4 tsp salt
1 tbsp Olive oil
1/2 to 1 tbsp water
Handful Parsley or cilantro leaves
Blend in the food processor adding water or olive oil until you get your desired consistency. I like mine a little creamier so I added less water. Use it to top falafels or make it runnier and use as salad dressing!
Tip: when I buy herbs I let them soak in white vinegar for 15 mins and then rinse them well. Then I drain and let them air dry for a few hours. Once there isn’t any aparent moisture on them I wrap them in paper towels and place them in an airtight container in the fridge. They last so long! And this makes it easy to incorporate into any recipe.
