Training Recap: May 22-June 18

*Disclaimer: my workouts are designed specially for me by my coach, Jake Gillette. I will be giving you some general ideas of what I did over the last week, but not all the specifics since they are designed to meet the level I am at, for what my goals are, and it is also my coaches business.

Wow! It’s been a while since I have done a training recap. 4 weeks to be exact. Honestly, you haven’t missed much. It’s been basically tapering, and recovery.

Week of May22-28

  • Monday: 6 miles easy
  • Tuesday: 5 miles. 1 mile easy, 3 miles at marathon pace, 1 mile easy
  • Wednesday: 4 miles easy
  • Thursday: 3.7 miles easy
  • Friday: 3 mile shake out run
  • Saturday: 0 travel day and race expo
  • Sunday: 26.2 miles Vermont City Marathon

Total for the week: 44.9 miles

Week of May 29- June 4

  • Monday: 0
  • Tuesday: 0
  • Wednesday: 0
  • Thursday: 3 miles easy
  • Friday: 4 miles easy
  • Saturday: 13.1 Sunburst Races

Week of June 5-11

  • Monday: 6 miles easy
  • Tuesday: 6 miles easy
  • Wednesday: 3.1 The Big Run
  • Thursday: 6 miles easy
  • Friday: 5 mile shakeout run
  • Saturday: 5 miles, 4 as a part of the Randy Miner Memorial Country Run
  • Sunday: 0

Week of June 12-18

  • Monday: 7 easy
  • Tuesday: 8.2. Morning run 1 mile run, 5k tempo, 1 mile tempo. Evening 5k Reith Run
  • Wednesday: 7 mile recovery
  • Thursday: 5.4 miles. 2 mile warm up, :30 surge, :30 recovery X 10, 2 mile cooldown.
  • Friday: 0
  • Saturday: 5.1 miles with Courthouse Classic 5k (review coming soon).
  • Sunday: 0
